We reserve the right to change these Terms from time to time. Any changes to these terms will take effect immediately.
ABOUT YOU THE PUPIL
Driving tuition is only available to you if you meet the following criteria:
Aged 17 or over and Hold a valid United kingdom provisional driving licence; and
Be legally entitled to drive in the United Kingdom
YOUR INSTRUCTOR AND U-Drive
U-Drive acts as your agent in locating a Driving Instructor to provide you with the Lessons. When you make a booking with U-Drive you are entering into a separate contract for the Lessons which is solely between yourself and the Driving Instructor who is self-employed and independent from U-Drive.
U-Drive is only mentioned in these Terms and Conditions where it acts in its capacity as your agent in locating a Driving Instructor for you, arranging the Lessons for you with the Driving Instructor.
LESSONS
You and Your Instructor are responsible for agreeing all matters relating to the timing, location and duration of individual lessons.
You must notify Your Instructor of any matters which affect your ability or entitlement to have driving tuition, for example, but not limited to, any lack, or loss, of a valid UK provisional driving licence.
LESSON PRICES
All lessons inbetween initial and reserved lessons are chargeable at the instructors hourly rate and are purely at the driving instructors discretion on how many lessons each pupil will need.
Please note the prices for the courses and lessons can vary depending upon the postcode area you live in.
Once your lesson is arranged with your local driving instructor your lessons price will be the same price as U-Drive’s official prices. Please ask your instructor what is his/her lessons prices for future bookings. You have the option not to continue if your instructor’s rate higher than U-Drive.
CANCELLATION OF LESSONS
If You or Your Instructor wish to cancel a lesson a minimum of 48 hours’ prior notice should be given. If Your Instructor cancels a lesson without giving this minimum period of notice Your Instructor shall rearrange the lesson.
If you do not give at least 72 hours’ notice of cancellation You will be charged for the lesson(s) concerned in full.
PAYING YOUR INSTRUCTOR DIRECTLY
You can pay for lessons by paying your instructor directly without involving U-Drive. Your instructor will confirm which payment methods they can accept. If you pay your instructor directly you should obtain a receipt. U-Drive does not accept any responsibility for any payments you make directly to your instructor.
RESPONSIBILITY
We cannot be held responsible for postponements of lessons due to illness or mechanical breakdown, nor for driving tests postponed by DVSA.
